Primary Care

Our staff is committed to providing the best professional and personal experience to our clients and their animals. We work as a team to ensure the best possible outcome for you and your pet and treat each animal with compassion and respect. Our primary objective is to ensure the health and longevity of your animal through thorough annual examination as well as annual vaccines.

Surgery

Our clinic offers a wide variety of surgical procedures although we specialize in routine surgery, such as: neuter/spay, growth removal, declaw, dental extractions, exploratory, laceration repair, etc. We are very cautious and attentive to your animal before, during and after surgery. If we feel your animal would be better treated by a specialist, we can refer you immediately.

Dental Services

Your pet’s dental health can be one of the most neglected medical concerns of their life. Not taking care of their teeth can lead to periodontal disease that can cause significant damage as well as a considerable medical expense. Our routine dental procedure uses an ultrasonic scaler to remove tarter and plaque build-up as well as clean under the gum line. We then polish the teeth for a protective layer and fresh breath. If needed, we have the capability to perform extractions safely and completely.

X-Ray

We offer in house x-rays for the most efficient and accurate diagnosis. An x-ray offers us a chance to examine not only the bones but the heart, lungs and abdominal organs. We produce immediate results for a fast and effective diagnosis of injury or disease.

Dermatology

There are many different types of skin diseases in animals that look very similar and can be hard to differentiate. We do our best to diagnose the problem and come up with a straightforward solution that works for both you and your pet. If we are not able to diagnose the problem, we will refer you to a specialist for further examination.

In House Lab

Complete Blood Count (CBC), and Chemistry Panel
Our in-house laboratory allows us to get rapid results for quick treatment. Many of the complications we see are present in the blood stream and can be detected through a quick blood draw

Parasite Screening & Prevention
Regular parasite screenings are highly recommended for concerns of the animal’s health as well as parasites being transmitted to humans. Even though your pets feces may look normal, this does not mean there are no parasites present. We use a microscope to examine the feces and determine the presence of hookworms, roundworms, whipworms, tapeworms, giardia, etc., and treat accordingly.

Urinalysis
Using our in-house equipment allows us to detect a wide range of urinary tract diseases from our laboratory allowing us to treat immediately.

Euthanasia

Losing an animal is never easy but we want to make you and your pet as comfortable as possible. Our euthanasia’s are done in a private room giving you as much time and space as you need during your difficult time. We also offer cremation services through Midwest Cremation. Home euthanasia is available for an additional price.

Pet Food & Supplies

Whether you’re looking to control your animal’s weight or aid a medical issue, prescription food can be a huge help in the steps to recovery. We carry a wide variety of the Hills Prescription Diet© and highly recommend this brand for your pet. We also recommended Royal Canin© and can order this as an alternative to the Hills Prescription Diet©.

Microchipping

Losing your pet can be both scary and devastating. Having your animal microchipped allows other vet clinics or animal shelters to scan your pet and locate an ID number that is assigned to your contact information. This microchip can also prove ownership of the animal if it is ever taken or stolen.
